if you get a note saying something along the lines of "check this out" or "look at these photos" followed by a link to a site.
DO NOT CLICK THAT LINK!
it's spam and it will spread through to your friends accounts as well. i stupidly clicked the link about a week ago so if anyone got one from me, then i apologize. i've changed my password but i'm not sure if that helps.
oh and one more thing. spread the word and let others know about it! or else this is going to keep spreading! it might also help to hide all the comments you get that have these spam links. the fewer people that see it the better!

before you ask me a question, make sure i haven't already answered it by clicking the
Frequently.Asked.Questions link!
Now I got one on my page. I haven't clicked on it...
But can you tell me what to do now with that spam message?
Do I have to 'report it as spam' or leave it like that... ????
Please tell me.
See, if they're really hell bent on compromising accounts, keyloggers or other malicious apps would be accidently downloaded if you clicked on some links.
This won't always be the case... as some sites are simply gunning to get more hits on their pages, generate more ad revenue, etc. However, this isn't the first journal I've heard where people reported compromised accounts... so IDK.
For safety purposes, scan your PC if you haven't already.
Also, hate to put a plug for other browsers, but using anything but IE could help protect you a good deal. Many of those malicious items out there gun for exploits primarily found in IE... (not to say that some can affect all browsers, like recently there was a big exploit that affected Flash, which is something all browsers tend to have some plugin for.)
man we don't have season two over here yet! i'll have to dl it
